Samarkand Rug

A unique and beautiful Samarkand silk rug handwoven from pure silk worm cocoons, this piece will bring style and elegance to any interior. Its magnificent ancient style evokes the impression of the majestic carpets and rugs which once travelled miles via the Silk Route.

It is intricately designed in a Buhkara style and handmade to the highest possible standard from delicate silk worm threads.  At the same time, the design of the pattern of the rug is traditional and contemporary. The colour of the silk is light and luxurious suggesting great craftsmanship and quality.

The depth of colour is achieved using only natural vegetable dyes. The result is a spectacularly beautiful effect on the rug.

If you see this bright colour from one side, it appears to be all dark and shadowy. But if you see it from the other side, it appears light and bright. This is a stunning feature for any enchanted owner to discover.

The craftsmanship to create our silk hand knotted rugs can take between four months and one year to complete. This rug has been professionally made by expert carpet weavers in the ancient city of Samarkand.

The colours found in this rug include: silver, grey, light blue, brown, dark indigo, blue, green, red, white.

Delivery requirements

Upon the delivery, it is the customer’s responsibility to check the parcel and ensure that the goods are in undamaged condition and correspond to the order. The customer should sign the delivery form after checking the parcel.

If the customer provides special instruction for the delivery and is unable to accept the parcel in person, the carrier may take a photo of a place where the parcel was left.
